FC is partnering with Allison Livermore, a student from The Well Community Church Counseling Center, to offer counseling services on the school campus. Livermore has experience working with patients with depression, anxiety, addiction and trauma.
Services will start the week of Oct. 5 and continue until the counselor, parent and student are satisfied or decide to discontinue services. The first session will be 50 minute meeting with students one time a week for $4o.63 per session. The organization is available to grades k-12 on first come first serve basis, for more information contact Michelle Warkentin.
Every year academic advisor, Michelle Warkentin, hosts an event that tells parents and students of grades 9-12 all about college. This year the event will take place in the Jackie Johnson (JJ) room in Building 6 at 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m on Oct. 5.
“Having served as the guidance counselor at Fresno Christian for over three years, I have had the unique opportunity of meeting with students on a personal level.” Warkentin said. “As a body of believers, I believe it is our duty to come alongside these struggling students through prayer and encouragement.”
All who attend will learn about the college application process, SAT/ACT, financial aid, and so much more with the guest speaker, Arvi Kaushal, from College Prep Consultants.
SAT Registration Deadlines: Oct. 9, Nov. 5, Dec. 28, Feb. 5, April 8, May 5.
SAT Test dates: Nov. 7, Dec. 5, Jan. 23, March 5, May 7, June 4.
ACT Registration Deadlines: Nov. 6, March 4, May 6.
ACT Test dates: Dec. 12, April 9, June 11.
