The following Monday after Thanksgiving online retailers promote exceptional deals on all of their merchandise. This year is the 11 anniversary of Cyber Monday, the term was invented in 2005 through a press release by Shop.org.

Jenna Bynum,’18 shares her thoughts on holiday shopping.

“I love online shopping, it is so much easier to find what you want rather than going to a store. Bynum said. “Christmas is the busiest season of the year, by having online deals it makes the holidays much less of a hassle”

Although Black Friday is the busiest shopping day of the year Cyber Monday brings in as much money as Black Friday does. In 2015 the sales were $3 billion for this one day of online shopping, according to Adobe’s digital index.
