[/media-credit] THE POINT Patio Bar and Grill offers its customers a wide variety of food.

Tucked away in the corner of a shopping center across from Willow Station is a new restaurant called THE POINT Patio Bar & Bistro. Opening only just two months ago, THE POINT has quickly become a popular place for lunch or dinner without having a website or doing a lot of marketing.

The inside of the restaurant is equivalent to a contemporary industrial building, with plenty of televisions for sports and features a bar with a view out to the patio. If you do not want to eat indoors, THE POINT offers an outdoor patio experience with plenty of misters and umbrellas to combat the Central Valley heat. Do not forget to check out the decorative bathrooms too.

In the two times I have eaten there, my selections have not disappointed. The first time, I started the meal with an appetizer of chicken wings in a honey barbecue sauce. They were arguably the best wings I have ever experienced. For my main course I tried the popular Point Burger. It was very delicious and reminiscent of the Calamity Jane burger at House of Juju in Old Town Clovis. I would definitely treat myself to the Point Burger again.

The second time I started my meal with the pork wings. They made me rethink my decisions of what my favorite wings are. The tender, fall of the bone meat, left me wanting more. I decided to try something different this time around. With limited options for pizza, I went with the Naples, a classic Italian pizza. Again, I was not disappointed except that the crust in the center area of the pizza was unusually soggy.

One thing to note about THE POINT is how friendly the staff is. My first meal, almost every time my waitress passed by, we somehow got engaged in conversation. We talked about the place on my shirt (Hume Lake), news about the restaurant and discussed the Olympics among other things. The second time, I had an awesome conversation with one of the founders of THE POINT.

Between the TV’s and the music, the volume was surprisingly not loud in the restaurant. The balance between all the noise created a perfect ambiance inside, but I would be interested to experience a meal outside and compare the differences.

I will definitely come back to this dynamic restaurant. Whatever you are craving, chances are THE POINT has it. My only complaint is that the wait time seemed a bit long, but because such great food was at the end of the wait, it was totally worth it. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and am excited to see THE POINT transform into a popular place in Fresno. I encourage anyone who has been to or plans to eat at THE POINT to leave a comment below, sharing your opinion of the restaurant and what other entrees to try out.

This is a bit off topic but the hair salon next door is wonderful.
