A group of freshmen gather together in the middle of Ground Zero for lunch on the first day of school, Aug. 13.

Usually most high schoolers sit in their usual spots, but the freshmen picked a spot by the trees to shade themselves from the sun. Even though temperatures rose over one hundred degrees, students were told to eat out side.
