Flashback to 1999. On a warm Fresno morning, students arrive with lunch boxes in hand and fear in their eyes. The anticipation fills every inch of their 45 inch high bodies as they look to their parents and plead, "Please don't leave me..." This was Fresno Christian 13 years ago. When we started, it felt like school would never end, like we would be at FC forever. Now, after completing the last-first day, it feels like just yesterday that we began.
It's weird to think that there are so few of us "lifers" left -- probably under 10. Seeing friends leave was never easy, but then again, is it ever? So many things I've learned were a result of trial and error; everything from friends to homework. Look where we started and where we are now. It's a totally new and different place.
So, looking ahead. The most common questions I get are, "Where are you going to college"? and "What are you going to do"? Yeah, right. Like I know at age 17 what I want to do for the rest of my life. But I am open to whatever God has for me.
My life currently consists of school, church, friends and my family. So life looks quite a bit different than before, but I'm excited for everything to come -- luckily, I'm fan of adventures.
