Head into history
Oct 20
“History is the witness that testifies to the passing of time; it illumines reality, vitalizes memory, provides guidance in daily life and brings us tidings of antiquity.” — Marcus Tullius Cicero (106 BC-43 BC), Roman author, orator & politician
What would it be like to live in a different time? During the Civil War? In another country? In a place completely different from where you are today?
Sure there are plenty of accounts, and we are forced to sit in a classroom and hear about them. But how many of these events do we actually take the time to reflect on?
We are going to spend the next few weeks going back in time. We will be thinking about what happened on “this day in history,” and hopefully learn from it.

I look forward to reading about your reflections and how they infuence you today.
