Baseball season once again

It’s that time of year again: spring. With this magical time comes spring cleaning, allergies, and, best of all, spring training. That’s right fans, it’s baseball season once again.

Recently, Nick and David decided that they were going to join Trevor by becoming baseball fans. After this massive decision was made, the next step was to choose a team. This proved to be quite a challenging task.

At first, their instinct was to choose a California team, however, after thinking about it, Nick and David realized that that would be too much of a hassle. They didn’t want to get involved with the whole Dodgers-Giants rivalry, which led them to the Oakland Athletics. Soon after this, they came to the conclusion that they wanted to lose and struggle with a team, but not lose every game of the season.

After much consideration and several strongly-worded arguments, we finally decided on the New York Mets. This decision was made with excellent timing, as the two new fans had decided right before their trip to New York, where, upon arriving, they decided to get Mets hats to show their loyalty to the team.

Unfortunately, their friends were not so supportive of their team choice. Many already die-hard baseball fans criticized that they should have chosen a more well-known team. In fact, some were just skeptical as to whether they were fans at all.

But just wait, two months from now you’ll see them checking stats and talking about how good David Wright did in that last game, and how so far the best batter on the team is, left fielder, Mike Baxter. So grab so peanuts and cracker jacks and come and join us to watch America’s greatest pastime.
