Easter break variations

Mar 29

This upcoming week is Easter Break. Here at FC we have Peoples Church who puts on a program called BreakAway over Easter. This year Amanda is participating in the program where they do a lot of work out in the community.

BreakAway is an opportunity offered by Peoples Church to serve our community during Easter break. Groups will be going out to Woodward Park, MLK Elementary School and Biola (the town, not school), among other places.

Amanda’s perspective:

I’m really excited to be a part of this project, because it’s an awesome experience to serve the community surrounded by so many people from various churches in our community.

I’m looking forward to spending time out in Biola, because of all of the relationships we’ve made with the people in the community over the past few years.

Raine’s perspective:

As for me, I am spending my spring break visiting colleges. Dealing with all the stress of deciding on where I am to spend the next four or so years of my life. No pressure or anything right?

I can empathize with all the other seniors who are dealing with the stresses of deciding where to go and coming up with the funding to attend said college. I’m hoping that during the break, when I visit my top choices, it will become clear to me which college I want to attend in the fall.

So for everyone who is doing stuff over break, enjoy it! Especially you underclassmen who do not have to deal with picking out a college yet. Trust me, you think you want to leave, but you do not want to be in our stress-filled shoes.

Seniors, yes this is a very stressful time but remember to enjoy your senior year at FCS. It should also be a time of celebration. And, Raine, congratulations on your decision to attend Cal Poly Pomona!
