The Nest, Part II
Apr 25
This is Part II of fifth grade student Seth Frietas’s introduction blog, The Nest.
At Math Field Day, the junior high also won first place overall in the Small School Division! The high school won first place in Small School Division, too! The high school also placed second overall with Clovis West won the event. Congratulations to our whole school for winning in their divisions!
I would also like to congratulate the elementary track and field competitors who ran, jumped and threw their best on April 19 and April 20. Here are the people who qualified and will be moving on to this Saturday’s, “Toby Lawless Finals.”
Qualified competitors: Annabelle Messer, Olivia Messer, Erin Baudonnet, Macy Thompson, Tiffany Jones, Macy Luginbill, Angelica Escalera, Seth Freitas, Seth Barth, and Christian Wood.
Congratulations to all of the people who qualified for this Saturday’s finals, and one more congratulations to the people who didn’t make but tried their best!

May 11, our Elementary grades 3-6 will be seeing, “Yee-Haw!” a Western play with skits, jokes and songs! We hope that Mr. Broersma’s drama class will be doing well with their performance! I also hope everybody is anxious to see it too!
The elementary drama has been practicing and rehearsing all semester so we will indeed have you a good performance! Zing!
Next week on May 1, all of the fifth and sixth graders will be going to the Challenger Learning Center! This place is filled with science, a museum, and a blasting experience of learning of the Solar System!
At the Challenger Learning Center, kids will learn how to control a spaceship while acquiring different jobs for different quadrants of the space shuttle! (It’s just a space shuttle simulation!) I’m hoping many students will find interest in this thrilling trip!
