Maddie’s Musings: ¡Bienvendios!

¡Hola mis amigos! My name is Madeleine Yee, but you can just call me Maddie. I am 17 years old and a senior here at FC. I play offensive midfielder for the girls soccer team, love learning Spanish and am entering my third year of being on The Feather staff. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, running at the gym and going to Yogurtland for some delicious frozen yogurt.
This summer I had the opportunity to travel to Armenia, Colombia, where I served for ten days on a mission trip. While there, I was able to use my three years of Spanish to share Christ with the Colombians. Before, and during this trip, God really laid the subject of “love” on my heart. My desire to unconditionally love the “unlovely” and to seek out the lost has been growing and challenging me to step outside of myself.
As I begin my final year of high school, my hope is to share what God is teaching me in my relationship with Him and to hopefully challenge other students in their faith. Beginning next Wednesday, I will be posting a new blog devotion the second Wednesday of every month. My prayer through this blog is that I will allow the Holy Spirit to speak through me, and to be fully committed to what God does teach me. I know that this monthly devotion will not be for my own edification, but wholly for the glory of Christ. I am very thankful for this opportunity and hope that those who read the monthly devotion will be encouraged.

I will look forward to ready your devotionals. I always enjoyed starting my week reading Brady’s last year. I found myself rereading them at the beginning of the school year and I missed seeing them once they were taken off the site. I’m glad yours will be up soon.
