Hey, my name is Jenna and I am new to The Feather. I am a junior and I came to FC last semester to play softball. I was a little nervous, but it turned out a lot better than I expected, so I am back again this year.
I play piano and lead an all-girl worship team called Renegade for our youth group at Peoples Church, and it has been one of the greatest things I have been able to do.
Crochet and knitting take up most of my free time, and I love being able to create something out of yarn with a hook or a pair of needles. I do not usually keep the things I make, because they make great gifts.
Softball is another one of my favorite things to do. Pitching is a lot of fun, so much that sometimes I wake up early before school to throw. I have played seriously for two and a half years now, and I still love it.
I get pretty crazy when I am tired, a characteristic which my cousin has named "Sleep-Deprived Delirium." I snort, honk, bark and laugh in ways I am sure were not previously thought of. The littlest things in life amuse me and I find just about everything hysterical.
Mr. Stobbe bugged me all semester last year about joining The Feather, so I decided to give it a try. I look forward to improving at writing, interviewing and learning about everything else that comes along with multi-media journalism. It will be a stretch, but I think I will end up enjoying it, as soon as I get into a routine with school.
I do not know what God has for me or for FC this year, but I am excited, and I cannot wait to be a part of it!
