Art Teacher, Vickey Belmont, teaches new art techniques to her students, Sept.20.

Art Teacher Vickey Belmont, shows Cayla Rivas,’18, a different approach on drawing her color pencil portrait. In her first year of teaching art, Belmont brings new techniques to her students, Sept.20.

Retired teacher Sharon Scharf, spent 20 years teaching art and home ec at Fresno Christian. When art class came available, Belmont was eager to leave her secretarial position and fill the role. She brings a new eye and fresh ideas to the 2016-2017 school year.

Third year photojournalist, Julia Fikse, ‘19, continues her dream of capturing a moment through the lens of a camera. She has grown to love capturing emotion in sports, school, community events and portraits as a hobby and future career. Involvements in volleyball, basketball, CSF and mentoring a girls group keeps Fikse on her toes. Great photography can evoke emotion and catalogue a moment in time. This became the foundational goal that drives her to excel. Upon graduating, Fikse hopes to major in interior design and use her photographic skills to earn an income while attending a university.
