Kyle Dodson’s junior english class reads The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, Jan. 26.

This semester, Kyle Dodson‘s english 11 class reads the famous classic The Great Gatsby. This literary piece is a favorite among students,bringing readers through the whirlwind of the 1920’s.

In preparation for Gatsby, Dodson spent time with students looking at the setting of the book and the characteristics shown throughout the story.

“Gatsby is a very complex book to understand,with many twists and turn throughout the book.” Dodson said. “Teaching students background information helps them grasp the storyline easier.”

After finishing Gatsby, Dodson will be teaching students how to form an opinion and persuade an audience through speech.
