Worship team members work in groups to rearrange parts of a song, March 9.

Members in worship team create personalized versions of new songs, March 9.

Over the course of about a week, worship team members work on a creative project. They are introduced to new songs and their assignment is to rearrange parts of the song to make it their own. It’s intended to help students gain insight into the process of arranging and remixing songs.

Lindsay Weimer, ’20, enjoys the project because she get to learn something new and grow closer with her team.

“This project gives me an opportunity to grow closer to my team,” Weimer said. “The best part is probably going to be the end results and I’m excited to see how it will turn out.”

Worship team is separated into teams of six to eight. Daniel Garrison, known as “G”, is worship team leader. His reasoning for choosing this project is to teach his students that changing a song can influence the way an audience receives it.
