Senior king and queen candidates Stephen Walters and Maicy Luginbill.

Fresno Christian homecoming week has officially begun. Get to know your court candidates personally. One pair of our senior candidates is Maicy Luginbill and Stephen Walters.With a series of unique questions, The Feather introduces each candidate to help students narrow your vote.Voting will take place Thursday, October 5. The winner will be announced during halftime at the 33rd annual Fresno Christian homecoming game, Oct. 6. Gates open at 6 p.m. with concessions. Princess candidates introduced at 6:30 p.m.

1.) Favorite expression:

Luginbill: That is so dope.

Walters: Get over it.

2.) What is your dream job?

Luginbill: Labor and delivery nurse.

Walters: Head mechanical engineer for a major company.

3.) If you had one superpower what would it be?

Luginbill: To read minds.

Walters: To create a second conscience creating

4.) What is your hidden talent? 

Luginbill: Walk on my hands.

Walters: Photography.

5.)Who has been most influential in your life? 

Luginbill: My sister Madeline.

Walters: Daniel Chandler.

6.)What is your biggest pet peeve?

Luginbill: When people smack.

Walters: People repeating information that I already know.

First year Feather staffer, Marin Sue’s, ‘20, mission is to transform from amatuer to trained photographer. Sue observed the skill development and growth of older brother Matthew Sue and decided she wanted join The Feather. Marin intends to pursue a degree in veterinary science. She received her first kitten at five years old, and she realized her deep passion and commitment to saving animals. Marin fosters puppies and kittens from the SPCA in her own home that are too young to be put up for adoption. Working to socialize and nourish these animals feeds her enthusiasm to get into the field of veterinary work. She already has acquired over 600 hours of volunteering and plans on attending UC Davis, where she will earn her DVM. “Far and away the best prize that life has to offer is the chance to work hard at work worth doing.” - Theodore Roosevelt.
