Dr. Karen Walters celebrates her birthday with zoology students, Oct. 4.

Today Dr. Walters’ celebrates her birthday with calamari and clam chowder during zoology class, Oct. 3. 

Walters teaches zoology, biology and AP biology and has been teaching at FC since 2013. Previous to Fresno Christain, she taught at Sierra High School.

Junior Reece Trevino shares his favorite memories of Walter’s class and what he looks forward to in her zoology class.

“My favorite part would be the dissections that we get to do on lab days,”  Trevino said. “One of my best memories would have to be when we dissected a squid in biology class. I am looking forward to going on the Monterey Bay field trip.”

On Walters’ free time, she enjoys riding and training her dressage horses.
