Princesses from each grade compete against each other in Bubble Balls for day two princess pageant at lunch, Oct. 4.

Princesses from each class compete against each other during the second homecoming princess pageant at lunch using Bubble Balls, Oct. 4.

In order to be the victor of the round, princesses had to knock their two components out of the area marked with cones using the Bubble Balls. Once the winner from each grade is determined, the finalists compete in a final championship round.

The princesses who made it to the championship round include freshman Brynlee Schmidt, sophomore Avery Jones and junior Kamryn Schultz. After the tiring competition, Jones is the final princess standing; winning the sophomore class homecoming points.

Day one princess pageant was won by the sophomore class’ Kamryn Schultz. Sophomore Avery Jones takes the winner’s title for day two of princess pageants. Stay tuned for tomorrow’s final lunchtime pageant.

Avery Jones, ’20, princess pageant day two winner, shares what she enjoys most about today’s lunch time activity,

“Today was a super fun activity! I knew I was going to have to try hard against everyone because we are all super strong and athletic. I was super excited to win for the sophomore class! It was exciting after when I was talking to everyone about it too! It got a little hard to breathe after awhile because its such a small space in the Bubble Balls but overall it was a really fun game to play with all my friends!” Jones said.

After homecoming court finishes their pageant, members from the audience compete against each other.

Hume Lake Christian Camps representatives also spoke to student body during lunch about their involvement with FC Homecoming. Being the junior class’ non-profit organization, the Hume Lake representative promotes ‘send a kid to camp’ program.

Students had the opportunity to visit the booth set up at lunch and tell a joke or participate in trivia for a prize. Students who participated won a free Hume Lake t-shirt.
