Goldsborough has been singing since elementary school. He has sung in many children’s choirs but has never sung in a smaller group or a solo, due to nervousness, up until this year.
Last year being his first year at FC, the idea of jumping into worship team right away was a frightening to him.
Goldsborough enjoys the feeling of contributing to the atmosphere of worship on the team and shares how he overcomes his nerves while on stage,
“I cried during a solo in my elementary school choir because I got so nervous,” Goldsborough said. “For some reason though, singing worship songs takes almost all the nerves away from me because you’re no longer singing for the people listening, but you and all the audience are singing to an audience of one. It’s really an awesome feeling.”
On the team, Goldsborough sees the group as family and enjoys the close-knit bond.
To any students who are considering joining worship team, Goldsborough encourages you to join,
“Even if you might not think you’re the best at playing your instrument, singing, or whatever, the worship team isn’t about being perfect or the best at what you do, but rather it’s about worshipping Jesus.”
Besides worship team, Goldsborough is also on the basketball team.
