FC soccer plays Parlier in their first league game, Jan. 9. After playing through mud and large puddles, boys soccer is defeated, 7-2, and girls defeat Parlier, 3-1, in over time.

Boys and girls soccer play their first league games in the mud after heavy rain showers fill the field with puddles, Jan. 9. Boys soccer is defeated by Parlier, 7-2, and girls soccer defeats Parlier in over time, 3-1.

Soccer players watched as the rain steadily poured throughout the day. After receiving word that the games will take place despite the weather, players prepare for the muddy and wet game ahead. 

Boys take the field first, trailing, 4-1, at halftime. The Eagles complete the game, 7-2. Jacob Hyatt, ’21, and Angel Ruelas, ’20, score the only two goals in the game.

Bekah Micu, ’20, scores the first goal of the game, tying the score, 1-1, leading to overtime. FC defeats Parlier, 3-1 with two goals scored in overtime by Jenna Bynum, ’18 and another by Micu. 

The Eagles next play Fowler at home, Jan. 12. Boys will play at 3:30 p.m. and girls will play at 5:30 p.m. Come out and support your Eagles!
