The junior high cheer squad gathers for a picture after their routine, Feb. 17.

Junior high cheer earns first place in their West Coast Championship competition, Feb. 17.

The girls compete in the novice junior high division for this FCC (Fellowship of Christian Cheerleaders) championship event. The girls take first place out of four schools in their division. Schools from all around the west coast travel to this competition.

The tournament is held in Azusa, California at Azusa Pacific University. As it was a FCC event, cheerleaders experienced a time of worship, a message, and an altar call before the awards ceremony.

Campus cheer squads went to a FCC camp over the summer as preparation for the school year. With this, the girls already had some experience with the FCC competition style.

The following video is a clip from the junior high competition performance at Azusa Pacific University, Feb. 17. An FCS parent provided the video.
