Boys tennis honors the team’s only senior, Jaden Ventura before the start of their final home match against Firebaugh, April 26. Ventura is accompanied by his mother Mara Mueller (pictured), and grandparents for senior night.

The team honors their captain with a bouquet of flowers and personalized senior poster.

Ventura shares where his passion for tennis all began when he first started playing four years ago.

“My grandpa taught me how to play in 7th grade and I fell in love with the sport. My experience of being a leader on the team has been amazing. From leading the warm ups to helping teammates, it’s so amazing to pour into everyone with what I’ve learned over the years. This year I feel like I’ve really come into my own. This year our team is fairly young. It’s so exciting to know that the work I’m doing is going to help further develop my teammates for when they’re seniors.”

FC boys tennis is defeated by Firebaugh at their last home match, 7-2.
As league games come to an end, Eagles anticipate playoffs. Be sure to stay tuned for upcoming playoff dates.

Ventura and his doubles partner Alex Rurik will be heading to Valley Championships, May 11. Check in to find out results of the match.

Besides tennis, Ventura also plays soccer and is a video journalist for The Feather.
