Boys tennis is defeated by Liberty Madera Ranchos, 5-1, in the CIF Central Section Division V Valley Championships, May 16.

Boys tennis‘ season closes as FC is defeated by Liberty Madera Ranchos, 5-1, in the CIF Central Section Division V Valley Championships May 16. The match is called at the end of the singles games.

Every singles match progresses to the furthest possible length, each being a super-tie-breaker. All five losses came in close super-ti-breakers. Singles No. 6 Braden Bell, ’20, is the only player to defeat a Liberty opponent. 

Eagles end the season with a league record of 13-4. The team’s home game record is 6-2, and away game record is 5-1. The team finished as runner up in Valley as they did in 2003 and 1996. The varsity tennis team last won a Valley Championship in 1999 under coach Alan Tong. They also won in 1998 and 1997.
