The Feather advisers (left to right), Robert Hyatt, Kori Friesen, and Greg Stobbe, participate in the FC 2017 Ugly Christmas Sweater Day.

School is officially back in session as students enjoyed a nine-day break for Thanksgiving, Oct. 27. With only 29 days till Christmas, students have 14 schools days left until a three-week break for the Christmas holiday. And with so many events to keep track off, take a look at a few of our recommendations for the season.

Many events take place not only on campus but throughout the county as well. FC will be partaking in the annual stuffed animal drive for Valley Children’s Hospital, Dec 14.

On the last day before break, students can come to school in their pajamas for a half day, and bring a stuffed animal in exchange for a free lunch. The stuffed donations are then given to the patients at Valley Children’s Hospital.

FC leadership decided on Chick-fil-A for the lunch menu, while the students will watch the movie Elf, Dec. 14.

The annual senior sock exchange party will be held in the smc cafe, along with the FC annual ugly Christmas sweater day, Dec. 7. There will be a prize for the best ugly Christmas sweater so stay tuned for The Feather Instagram to see who will take home the prize.
