You can find Haley Bartel, ’20, singing in the HS Cantiamo choir.

Meet Junior Haley Bartel as she transfers from Buchanan High into her second semester at Fresno Christian High School, Jan 23.

In her free time, Bartel enjoys working out and getting to meet new faces. On Wednesdays, you can find her at Rain, New Covenant Community Church’s youth group.

Bartel explains her experience of making the switch between schools and her opinion of what others first thought.

“I had a really easy time switching from Buchanan to Fresno Christian,” Bartel said. “People are super welcoming so I felt that everyone accepted me which was a good environment to come into. I knew a couple people that came here which also made it easier. I feel like I come off super serious when people first meet me but I love to laugh. I’m always up to meeting new people.”

Bartel spends much of her time with her older brother, Joshua, and her younger siblings, Andrew and Grace. Bartel and her family loves to travel, go out to dinner, and spend time together.

Fun Facts about Bartel:

Favorite song – “Beautiful” by Bazzi

Dream Car – A black Ram truck

Favorite Movie – The Quiet Place

About the Author:

Avery Jones
Avery Jones, ‘20, recently developed a love of photography after returning from a missions trip to Johannesburg, South Africa. Through door to door ministry and running kids camps, Jones gained a deeper understanding that people simply need to be loved. This experience grew in her a passion to capture stories of humanity from behind the lens. When Jones isn’t volunteering or photographing for The Feather Online, you can find her playing sports. Soccer keeps her driven as she has played since six years old. Also a part of CSF, and a member of her school's ASB leadership council, Avery mentors junior high girls all year long in a campus club called Sister to Sister. Jones plans on becoming a nurse at a four-year university after spending a year as a part time missionary in South Africa.
