About the Author:

Avery Jones
Avery Jones, ‘20, recently developed a love of photography after returning from a missions trip to Johannesburg, South Africa. Through door to door ministry and running kids camps, Jones gained a deeper understanding that people simply need to be loved. This experience grew in her a passion to capture stories of humanity from behind the lens. When Jones isn’t volunteering or photographing for The Feather Online, you can find her playing sports. Soccer keeps her driven as she has played since six years old. Also a part of CSF, and a member of her school's ASB leadership council, Avery mentors junior high girls all year long in a campus club called Sister to Sister. Jones plans on becoming a nurse at a four-year university after spending a year as a part time missionary in South Africa.
