Choir director Susan Ainley prepares the FC Cantiamo for their upcoming Cal Poly festival, March 21.

Fresno Christian Cantiamo prepares for their upcoming Cal Poly trip, March 20.

The choir will travel to Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo to participate in the Central Coast Spring School Choral Festival. With over 60 schools in attendance, the FC music department will be bringing three of their four choral groups.

Some of the songs the Cantiamo will be singing include, ‘Daniel’ and their Latin piece ‘Adoramus’. In addition, the choir will sing ‘Esto Les Digo’.

Freshman Owen McCann, a third-year choir student, loves seeing all the choirs come together to perform.

“My favorite part about going to Cal Poly for the music festival is seeing what all the other choirs can do,” McCann said. “The thing I’m looking forward to the most is going to the beach. In addition, I’m excited to see our junior high and elementary choirs perform. I think this festival will help us to perform better at the heritage festival.”

The FC Music department will be heading to Los Angeles to participate in the Worldstrides Heritage Festival, April 5.
