Fresno Christian cheer team practices stunts for upcoming tryouts, May 1.

Fresno Christian varsity cheer team will host tryouts for the upcoming 2019-20 school year, May 1.

Hope Villines has coached the FC cheer team for seven years. Rayna Endicott and Cortney Ramundo are assistant coaches to Villines. Villines also coaches Fresno Pacific University.

Two cheer clinics will be held in the Fresno Christian gym from 6-8 p.m., May 2-3. Participants will learn a cheer, dance and review technique on jumps. The material the participants learn, will be performed at tryouts, May 4.

Students interested in trying out for varsity cheer will need to pick up a teacher recommendation form in the office. The forms must be filled out by a teacher the participant currently has in their schedule. Forms are to be turned into Villines directly or into her box by May 4.
