Make sure to wish English teacher Andrea Donaghe a happy birthday, Jan. 20. Donaghe continues to teach at Fresno Christian for six years and has been teaching 14 years over all. On her free time she enjoys taking naps, catching up with friends, treating herself with a pedicure, and spending time with family.

I had a wonderful English teacher my senior year-Mr. Kasparian. He is the reason I decided to teach English, and I was really good at it.  I love my job even when it is hard...and it can be. My weekends are not always mine-I have to share them with grading, lesson planning, responding to emails, putting in grades and re-reading novels...but it is worth it.

It is the end of an eventful and memorable era for some teachers as they move on, leaving Fresno Christian. High school staff members Andrea Donaghe, Matthew Vincent and Leslie Bannister are departing from the school at the end of this semester. 

Andrea Donaghe's English 12 class begins to read 'The Bridge of San Luis Rey' written by Thornton Wilder, March 5. The true story portrays the lives of five individuals who were involved in a traumatic accident killing all five of them.

Though students still press forward towards the end of the school year, the yearbook staff works year-round to ensure that the yearbook is completed in time for students to take home for the summer. Previously advised by English teacher Andrea Donaghe, the yearbook was taken over by Melanie Portwood this year. Portwood advised yearbook at her previous school and takes over this new role with enthusiasm.

Andrea Donaghe's English 12 class begins reading Jane Austen's, 'Persuasion', Oct. 18. Published in 1817, 'Persuasion' was the last novel Austen wrote due to an illness that caused her death in July of 1817.

English teacher Andrea Donaghe nominated sophomore Mackenzie Beckworth as Student of the Month due to Beckworth’s conduct in class as well as the quality of her work. Donaghe states that Beckworth possess a talent for writing and encourages her to take AP Literature her junior year.
