With the soccer season already underway, the FC boys soccer team looks to improve their skills by competing in the Jim Inglis Tournament in Lemoore, Dec. 7-8. The team usually competes in the Bakersfield Garces Memorial Tournament, however, soccer leadership decided to invest in the Jim Inglis Lemoore Tournament. Head of soccer Matt Markarian wanted different types of competition for the team.

2018 has begun! A new year brings new a season and expectations for FCS sport teams. For the boys varsity soccer team, a new season brings a new challenge to be conquered. After losing four seniors last season, the team must rebuild with younger players. Previous coach Matt Markarian is now this seasons FCS high school girls coach. The girls have had a successful preseason and are now entering their season as well.

High school boys soccer win their second preseason game, 2-0, against Summit Charter Collegiate Academy, Dec. 1.

The Eagles played the Caruthers Blue Raiders at home for senior night, Feb. 7. This was the second meeting between the two teams. The first match-up, the Eagles were defeated, 1-0. This time Caruthers defeated FC, 3-1.
