The Zed II mission was the second launch of the Zed rocket and the third flight test to date. The rocket is powered by an E-class equivalent sugar/potassium nitrate motor with 53 grams of propellant. While the motor functioned as hoped, the rocket suffered from serious aerodynamic instability. The launch occurred on April 7, 2020.

The actions taken in response to COVID-19 have disrupted the schedules of people across the state. While missing out on the last part of our school year and spring sports is certainly regrettable, there are many advantages to a blank schedule.

Whether it’s writing an essay, playing a sport or learning to drive, the hardest part of any venture is starting. Amatuer rocketry is no exception, but our hope is for the reader to understand that rocket science is entirely accessible to high schoolers.

Bryce Foshee and Bryce Foshee December 12, 2019
Before I became an amatuer rocket scientist, my assumption was that rocket science was too difficult to learn. Now I know that the challenging part of rocketry isn't so much making a rocket, but making a rocket that works as designed.

Rocket Dogs grills up gourmet brats and brews

Rocket Dogs grills up gourmet brats and brews

Stephen Walters and Stephen Walters December 8, 2015
Among Fresno's diverse food culture is a recent creation called Rocket Dogs, which seeks to bring quality food and authentic bratwurst. The idea for Rocket Dogs was kindled when the Lisitsin and Hsia families met at the Well Community Church with the idea of a restaurant. This idea was vague and lacked direction, but months passed and the idea became a reality opening its doors in Sept. of 2015. Along with superior taste the food is also from local suppliers such as The Meat Market of Fresno and Clovis. Driving into Rocket Dogs is rather complicated if you are heading west on Shaw Ave, once you pull in their is a fairly spacious parking lot with more that enough parking for the small restaurant. Other amenities such as handicapped parking are also present with three disable accessible parking spots right next to the restaurant.
