About Blake Deffenbacher

Third year Feather staffer, Blake Deffenbacher, ’20, spends his senior year as the video editor of the site. Having been a photojournalist and video editor in his previous years on the team, Deffenbacher looks to use his experience and expertise to grow and lead the team. Outside of The Feather, Deffenbacher uses his camera skills professionally to earn extra money and volunteer in his church. Besides media and camera work, he is passionate about music and traveling. At just 17 years old, he has been to ten countries, each of which giving him more of a desire to see different parts of the world. After high school, Deffenbacher plans to move on to a four year university, majoring in business administration with an emphasis on marketing, and potentially pursuing a degree in worship arts or Biblical studies. Deffenbacher is confident that the skills he learns working on The Feather will benefit him in his future education and careers.

Feather staffers travel to Anaheim, CA for the NSPA Spring National Higschool Journalism Convention, April 23.  The following day, the staff tours Warner Bros. Studios, and the ABC 7 Eyewitness newsroom.  Prior to the beginning of the conference, staffers enjoy a full day at Disneyland and California Adventure.
