Honoring girls tennis, girls volleyball and the football team, the annual fall sports banquet will be taking place, Oct. 18. Recognizing teams and awarding select players, the banquet gathers athletes across the student body.

The Central Section Division V girls volleyball playoff bracket was released earlier this week. The 10 seed Eagles take on 7 seed Hanford in the first round of playoffs, Oct. 31. Fresno Christian was placed in the "Bottom B bracket" along with fellow league team Frazier Mountain. The Eagles head into playoffs red hot, coming off an impressive league season and finishing first in the conference tournament. Head coach Kit Maddox talks about the success they’ve had this year and winning the league title, the first in eight years.

Gather your pom poms and bows, the annual elementary cheer clinic is taking place, Oct. 21-24 with a performance at the Friday night football game against Alpaugh High School, Oct. 25. Varsity and junior high cheerleaders will be helping lead young girls in various dances and activities. This clinic is used as a fundraiser to help cover some of the costs of the varsity and junior high girls attending the FCC West Coast National Championships in Southern California next year.
